# Address check — sample report

Prepared 2026-09-17. Method: forward geocoding (Google, WGS-84), Street View coverage
plus capture-date metadata, then named public sources (operator pages, directory
listings, the publisher's own material), read by hand. Each verdict carries the exact
receipt I read. Anything I could not confirm is listed at the end and never guessed.

Scope of this sample: two addresses taken from a reader-facing café list.

## 1. Loutsa — list says: 10 Bd Montmartre, 75009

**Verdict: the café is real. The published address sends the walker to the wrong door.**

- Geocoding "10 Bd Montmartre, 75009 Paris" resolves to 48.8718419, 2.3422248
  (Google, WGS-84). That is the Boulevard Montmartre mouth of Passage Jouffroy.
- Street View coverage exists at that point (pano CAoSF0NJSE0wb2dLRUlDQWdJRHlrOWJINndF,
  captured 2020-06), but the panorama served there is an interior view — the Musée
  Grévin — not the street. A reader who follows this address arrives at a wax museum
  entrance.
- Operator and directory sources place the café at 35 Passage Jouffroy, 75009, open
  since October 2023 (specialtycoffee.paris listing "Loutsa — Passage Jouffroy";
  Mappy / PagesJaunes listing "Loutsa Torréfacteur").
- Geocoding that address gives 48.8724278, 2.3420248 — roughly 65 m further on, inside
  the covered passage.
- Correction for the list: **35 Passage Jouffroy, 75009 Paris.** The Bd Montmartre
  number is the passage entrance, not the shop.

## 2. Papillote — list says: 15 Rue Chaptal, 75009

**Verdict: confirmed. Address as published, café present, imagery current.**

- "15 Rue Chaptal, 75009 Paris" resolves to 48.880671, 2.3333708 (Google, WGS-84).
- Street View coverage at that point is dated 2024-09 (pano
  CAoSFkNJSE0wb2dLRUlDQWdJQ240WWY4R2c, © Go360): a café frontage with terrace seating
  at street level, at the listed address. No discrepancy with the list.
- Public sources agree on the address and timeline: specialtycoffee.paris lists
  Papillote at 15 Rue Chaptal since September 2023; a post from the Papilles Paris
  account names "Papillote, 15 rue Chaptal 75009, 8h30-18h" and confirms the same
  street number.

## What I could not verify

- **Storefront names from imagery alone.** At this imagery resolution signage is not
  reliably legible, so a name is treated as confirmed only where a public source states
  the same address. Otherwise it is marked unverifiable rather than guessed.
- **Imagery is dated, not live.** Each verdict carries its capture date (2020-06 above,
  2024-09 above). Anything that changed after that date is outside what the picture can
  prove.
- **Opening hours and trading status on the day you read this**, unless a live source
  states them at check time.
